Welcome to Leavitt Middle School, one of the Governor's prestigious STEM Schools, one of the Superintendents School Choice and Innovation Schools, and the best middle school in the nation! Leavitt is determined to excel at everything and offers nothing but the best for its students. Leavitt is one of only four middle schools in the state of Nevada to achieve Established STEM School status and offers: 3-D Printing (CAD), Aerospace, Computer Science, Women in Engineering, Medical Detectives, and Robotic Automation. Our STEM programs compete in the Skybot Challenge and have won back to back District Championships in the last two competitions. We are a project based learning school, and our teachers are experts in incorporating problem solving and project based learning into the curriculum. Leavitt MS is a technologically advanced school that has hundreds of thousands of dollars in STEM equipment, upgraded 1:1 Wi-Fi access, Chromebooks and iPads available to every student, Smartboards in every classroom, and a full time digital coach to ensure technology is integrated into our classroom lessons. We offer advanced tracks that allow students opportunities to take high school classes in Algebra, Geometry Honors, and Spanish I/II Honors. Out of 61 middle schools in Nevada, Leavitt outscored almost all and placed in the top 10 in the PSAT college readiness exam.  We scored higher than 12 of the 13 magnet schools including Lied STEM Academy. While our academic experience is unrivaled, it is only a small piece of what makes Leavitt MS amazing. We have dominating athletic programs (basketball, flag football, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball) that have earned us 20 divisional, 3 regional, 11 city, and 1 state championship. Our teams are cheered on by our cheer team that has 11 first place competition finishes. We also have top notch elective programs (art, band, choir, guitar, orchestra, student council, video production, publications) that have earned us top marks and filled our trophy cases as students and teams consistently excel at the local and national level. To round out the educational experience, we offer a wide variety of after school clubs and activities.  For the 22-23 school year we were city champions in girls volleyball, region champions in girls basketball, cheer first place champions, student council gold star recipients, and our women's choir achieved a perfect score at festival.  Finally, our school is divided into competitive Ron Clark (inspirational educator) themed houses which fill each day with fun activities and send school spirit through the roof.
